Medvyy was co-founded by a Nephrology Consultant and a technology lead with deep fintech experience — two people who saw the same problem from different angles. Patients across Nigeria and in the diaspora struggling to access trusted Nigerian doctors. And Nigerian doctors, some of the most qualified on the continent, sharing their numbers and giving out free consultations with no structure, no payment, and no protection.

Both sides deserved better. Our mission is to bridge that gap — giving patients easy, structured access to verified doctors, and giving doctors a platform where their expertise is properly valued and compensated.

We started with GLP-1 weight loss medications because we kept seeing patients source Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro over the counter without any medical supervision. We wanted to fix that — not by making it harder to access, but by wrapping it in the doctor guidance it deserves. A clinical review before prescribing, cold-chain delivery to your door, and a dedicated doctor checking in on WhatsApp every month.

Yes. All medications are dispensed under a valid prescription from an MDCN-registered doctor. We operate fully within Nigerian pharmaceutical and medical regulations. Every order is reviewed by a licensed physician before dispatch.
All medications are sourced from licensed pharmaceutical suppliers and stored at the correct temperature throughout. Your package arrives with batch numbers and expiry dates visible. Your doctor can verify authenticity on WhatsApp if needed.
We use cold-chain delivery across all 36 states and FCT. Medication is packed with cooling inserts and insulated packaging designed to maintain 2°C–8°C throughout transit.
Your assigned Medvyy doctor is available on WhatsApp throughout your programme. For mild side effects like nausea, they will guide you through management. For severe reactions, go to your nearest hospital immediately and also inform your doctor.
Nothing. Joining Medvyy is completely free. Medvyy earns a small percentage of your consultation fee only when a consultation is completed — you are never charged upfront.
You submit your MDCN folio number and annual practicing licence via the registration form. Our team verifies your credentials directly with the MDCN within 3 business days. NARD members can be verified through their membership number.
Payment is transferred to your bank account the next business day (T+1) for all consultations completed the previous day. You set your own consultation fee on registration. Medvyy retains a platform percentage based on your previous week's consultation volume — the more you consult, the less we take:

No. Consultations happen via WhatsApp, the platform you already use. You receive patient requests, manage your availability, and conduct consultations all through WhatsApp.

Payments are made securely through the Medvyy app wallet, topped up via our secured payment gateway partners. You only pay after a doctor confirms your request. No hidden fees — you see the consultation fee upfront before selecting a doctor.
